Today was Colette's Talent Show at Grace McWayne Elementary. There were 47 acts, from dancing to singing, to comedy, etc. Colette decided to showcase her gymnastics abilities with a song from Kylie Mynogue "Wow". We choreographed and practiced her routine and she was our shinning star. We are so proud of her! Everybody cheered and applauded and congratulated her on an excellent job. This was a great night for all the children of Grace McWayne and we got to see their talents. Hope you enjoy the video clip! Dietrich and Annika, thank you for your help in getting us the music.

Spring is FINALLY here! - May 4, 2009
We bought a huge umbrella and wicker chairs for our backyard and we spent the whole weekend outside. This is our beautiful red flower tree at the front of our house. The flowers popped today! We are now waiting for Opa's flowers to bloom. We check them every day now.
Family Birthday Celebration for Derek and Doug
This was our family celebration on Sunday, April 19, for Doug and Derek. We had brunch at the house and cheesecake for Dessert. Doug and Derek felt celebrated all weekend long!

Derek's 3rd Birthday - April 16, 2009
Derek's birthday was a three day extravaganza! We made Spiderman cupcakes for his Church buddies. He loved bringing in his treats to his friends today. And then on Friday, we had five of his friends, Charlie, Ryan, Emmett, Josh and Teagan over for a fun time jumping at Jump Zone. He got lots of Batman and Spiderman toys and a cool Ironman toy, and of course, swords, lots of swords! Happy 3rd Birthday, Chato
Easter Sunday - April 12, 2009
The kids woke up at 6:30 am and then had to wait for Derek to wake up at 7:30 am. Colette and Chanti could not wait to look for all the eggs and helped Derek, who was still a little dazed and confused. But he quickly caught on and filled his basket. We had dinner at Avis and Matt's house and cracked eggs with "pica pica".
Baking Easter Cookies - April 10, 2009
This was our yearly project of making Easter cookies with the kids. Brianna, Colette's best friend came over to help. We made bunnies, flowers, and duckies. Derek loved squeezing the frosting and eating it right off the tip of the pastry bag. Each of them had their own tray and we ate cookies all week long. Happy Easter!
Last Snow of the Season - April 6,2009
We came back from our Spring Break in Florida and right back into our snow gear! We had a few inches of snow, but this was the last of it, thank goodness.
Disney 2009 - Spring Break
This was Derek's 1st trip to Disney. We were there with Abue, Opa and Dietrich too. We had a great hotel with a Pirate Ship in the pool! Derek was in heaven. The girls loved seeing his reaction to all wonderful sights, and he got to say hello to Peter Pan. Our favorites were "It's a small world", "Space Mountain","Snow White" and the Parade.

Sprig Break 2009 - Harvesting Papayas with Opa
We spent one week at Abue and Opa's house in Boca for our Spring Break. We had never seen so many papayas coming off of one tree! They are delicious.
Daddy and Me Dance - February 9, 2009
This was a dance for daughters and Dads. Colette and Chanti loved getting ready. We had our nails done, had a face mask, hair, jewelry, lipgloss. And Dad looked dashing in his suit. The dance was fun!
